Materials Science in the High School

Recently, one of the emerging "hot areas" of scientific research and technical innovation has been in the field of materials science. The goal of this project is the help students make connections between their coursework in biology, chemistry and physics and new developments in materials science.

Students utilize modern research applications, such as high temperature superconductivity and stochiometry. Studying new developments in materials science gives students examples of how chemistry is applicable in research today.
