The 2009 NCSSSMST Professional Conference will be held in Washington,
DC at the Marriott Crystal Gateway Hotel from March 11-14. Concurrent
Presentations (55 minutes) and Concurrent Workshops (110 minutes) will
be held on Thursday, March 12 and Saturday Morning,
March 14.
Friday, March 13th will be a Day of Exploration. Activities will be
offered for participants to travel with a local host to an off-site
location in Washington, DC. These activities will have a separate sign-up
once participants have paid their conference registration.
This conference will be truly an experience you don't want to miss!
The Conference Committee is now accepting proposals for Concurrent
Sessions. Only proposals for Concurrent Sessions submitted on-line
will be accepted. The deadline is November 1, 2008.
IMPORTANT:
(1) Concurrent Workshops are intended to provide in-depth
collaboration and must meet the following criteria:
- focus on a burning issue/topic for STEM schools
- involve more than one presenter
(2) Acceptance priority will be given to proposals for Concurrent Sessions
that are linked to the theme of the conference.
(3) Proposals the same as or very similar to previous conference sessions
may be rejected.
(4) Each session presenter and co-presenter MUST register for the conference and pay the conference registration fee. Registration fees must reach the NCSSSMST Conference Registration Office by February 5, 2009.
(5) The lead presenter is responsible for contacting all co-presenters
regarding their presentation and the registration deadlines.
(6) Normally, we have 70 - 80 concurrent sessions at our conferences
plus several keynotes.
(7) We do expect to offer a limited number of Extended Workshops at
the hotel on Friday March 13. Contact Ron Laugen, NCSSSMST Conference
