Computer/Software Requirements:
There are 3 keys to success in this course:
1) Keep up with the suggested work as shown in the course calendar! In doing so, you will not only alleviate the problems associated with rushing to finish work at the last minute, but also eliminate the chances that technology problems could prohibit you from submitting an assignment or test on time. (There are few things as frustrating as your computer crashing and losing your work one hour before the deadline!!! So avoid procrastinating!!!) It is strongly recommended that you print the course calendar to help you keep track of your work.
2) If you are having difficulties, contact the instructor in a timely fashion! Do not wait until the day an assignment is due or a test is to be taken to contact your instructor! You have three means of contacting your instructor: via e-mail, forum, or telephone. No extensions will be given on assignments and tests without a written statement from your academic advisor or guidance counselor clearly outlining your reason(s) for an extension!
3) Take your time in studying, and use the forum! Don't simply try to memorize the notes given in each unit, but rather try to understand the principles involved. The exams will test your ability to apply the information in the notes, not simply ask you to restate details. The online forum is a useful tool, to communicate with the instructor, or others in the class. Private matters, such as grades should be addressed by e-mail or by phone. If you feel uneasy about posting a question, you can always e-mail the instructor.
