A video capture of the chase team circling behind a wall cloud in western Texas. Note the tornado on the ground marked by the lighter-colored dust and debris spinning around the vortex. Even though no well-defined condensation funnel was present, multiple vortices were observed off and on for several minutes.

A tornado warning uderway...the chase team heads into heavy precipitation to intercept a tornado in Texas. Cars jam under an overpass for "safety". This has been proven to be a disasterous practice, as tornadic winds may actually undergo an increase in velocity as they are squeezed under the overpass. These winds, laden with debris, would be deadly to anyone under the overpass. In addition, cars pulling under these overpasses often create bottlenecks, preventing escape for other motorists.

A developing wall cloud lowers along the side of the road. Tornado sirens could be heard in the background as the storm approached.

Note the subtle lowering on the left-hand side of the photo...this would become the location for a developing tornado to form outside of Lubbock TX.

A similar photo to the previous one, with the lowering becoming slightly more prominent. Very strong inflow into the updraft could be felt at this location.
